Gen Ken Montgomery's Super Group - audio-visual scored
improvisation
For the first time since it's creation in 2015 at MOMA/PS1
Allgold Printshop: Gen Ken Montgomery's Super Group. The
Super Group is a electro-acoustic and visual immersive
project Montgomery conceived to explore graphic notation. It
features the incredible talent of artists and performers he
has been fortunate to know in the 35 years he has been
involved in the New York Experimental and Underground music
scene. The Super Group continues his work with the
spatialization of sound that began with his octophonic
concert compositions under the tutelage of Berlin composer
Conrad Schnitzler in the 1980s. He first presented these
8-channel electronic music concerts at Generator, the sound
art gallery he founded in 1989 in NYC, and has continued to
work with multi-channel sound since.

Venezia come ispirazione
musicale.
all'Hotel Londra Palace nel 1877 Tchaikovsky compone parte
Tre
incontri e concerti dedicati a Demetrio Stratos, Duke
Pianista, compositore e
direttore d'orchestra, diventa icona del jazz,
dell'America Music come egli stesso ama definire la
propria musica. Trascende i confini di genere e arriva a
includere elementi di blues, gospel, musica classica e
colonne sonore.
crossmediale Katherine Liberovskaya e Phill Niblock,
regista e compositore, fotografo ufficiale di Duke
Ellington.I jazzisti Filippo Vignato e Mattia Magatelli
ripercorrono un viaggio musicale nell'universo del
compositore americano, rivisitandone i brani con un
arrangiamento per trombone e contrabbasso.
Venerdì 29 aprile 2016, ore 17.00, Incontro con Phill
Niblock e Katherine Liberovskaya, modera Veniero Rizzardi
